Annotated copies of printed almanacs and registers, 1790-1839 (inclusive).

Consists of Fleets' Register and Pocket Almanacs, dated 1790, 1793, 1796 and 1799, and Massachusetts Register, 1802-1839. Registers for 1796 and 1799 belonged to Eliphalet Pearson, and 1802, 1805, and 1808 are in Pearson's hand. Register for 1815 contains notes of Robert B. Williams. Registers for 1832-1836 contain notes of Thaddeus William Harris (?). A second 1836 Register includes President J. Quincy's notes. Register for 1839 apparently belonged to Quincy but contains no notes. Also includes Register for 1819 and 1831.

Harris (Harvard, A.B. 1815; M.D. 1820) served as Librarian of Harvard, 1831-1856 and also lectured on natural history at Harvard, 1837-1842. He published about 100 articles on insects and insect-related diseases, compiled indexes to major works on entomology, and also wrote on squashes and pumpkins for the New England farmer.
